PostSubject: Gainesville Tea Party -- After Action   April 15th 2009, 20:23

Gents, my wife & I wanted to stop by the forum and thank you all for the effort you put into this very successful event today. We were able to attend along with my in-laws & my nephew. Next time, I'm dragging the whole family! We're following the events in other cities on Fox News right now, and it looks as though all of us my be in on Day One of an exciting change in how We The People make our opinions known to our congresscritters.
Thanks to all who made this possible!

PostSubject: Kudos To Jeff!   April 15th 2009, 20:55

Kudos to Jeff and everyone that worked so hard! The Party was awesome, and I know everyone was thrilled at the turnout.

Let's hang in there and figure out where to go from here, using today's momentum to build upon!

Thanks, Jeff!

PostSubject: Savannah Tea Party   April 15th 2009, 23:26

I had to work, but got off early and made it to the tail end of the Savannah Tea Party.
There was a great turnout. The only other time Savannah looks that crowded is St. Pattys Day!
Well not quite that big, but It was fantastic.
Despite being angry at the government, there was a quite pleasant mood, as many were first-time protesters(including me.)
One of those first-timers was a conservative hippie.

After the tea party and some pizza we marched from the county courthouse to City Hall and back. We got many hollers and honks from passing motorists.

I met many great Americans who were concerned about their country and who were commited to do something about it.
Very inspiring to say the least.

Thanks for all that attended your local Tea Party.

The one in Jacksonville, FL had a great turnout and was a fantastic event. I got to attend for an hour but it appeared to be going longer than planned or announced, whihc was very encouraging.

It was a really good event and the turn out was excellent. I'd guess 500-600 myself, but I've seen 1000 in print in a place or two. Either way, it was a great bunch of folks. The signs were awesome and the people driving by were on board as well.

Jeff did a great job on this one and I'm sure he's got much more to come.

Sorry I didn't get to meet everyone. I was hoping we'd all go out to dinner afterwards.

I really wanted to attend but couldn't make it this round.
I have been on several forums over several years trying to call out these politicians.

They want to change this country into something I won't understand.

PostSubject: Got Your Check Yet, Jeff?   April 16th 2009, 13:14

Hey Jeff, have you gotten your check yet?

I see where Nancy Pelosi says the Tea Parties were financed by the "high end," the "wealthiest people in America," so either you're keeping something from us; or your check should be in the mail soon! lol!

Funny, how it's okay for George Soros to pour the big bucks into the progressive's causes; but even if it were true for us (which it's obviously not), it's not okay for freedom-loving Americans! No

PostSubject: Tea Party   April 16th 2009, 15:00

Glad to hear y'all had a good time. We had a great turnout here in Gilmer County. In fact, it was far larger than I'd dreamed. Local paper and TV sent crews over and the PO sent a carrier to pick up the tub of mail we generated for the $%&^% in DC. They can get the message now or get the boot come the next election.

So, Nancy Pelosi is wealthy.
And wealthy people financed the Tea Parties?
Madame Speaker, you're saying you made the Tea Party Protests happen? [Next she'll be claiming she invented the internet.]lol!

Again, thanks to those who organized this. My wife & I had planned to make the drive into Atlanta for that one, but were dreading the traffic & parking problems. Gainesville is almost in our back yard.

Well, I suppose there's no getting around this type of thing. I hate hearing myself on video or audio clips.

Here's a link to an interview on www.accessnorthga.com. The video of the tea party is in the video box titled "Thursday Morning News"

Also, here are some photos from the event, thanks to Flickr user us2briggs!

PostSubject: A Great Day for America and for me too!!!   April 17th 2009, 22:52

Jeff, the Gainesville tea party was awesome!!! kudos my man, kudos. In the words of Hannity, "You area great american!", and speaking of Hannity, I went to the Atlanta tea party after gainesville and I was on tv during the Hannity show on fox news channel, that is a thrill , my friend tivoed it and is gonna copy it for me and my buddy who was there. We were holding up our signs and chanting usa when Hannity challenged us to beat the SC crowd if you watched, I also went to my first fairtax rally and all three were a great way to spend the day. I took a vacation day at work and made a day of it, my boss challenged me by saying it is easy cause you had vacation and got paid for it , but would I take a day off without pay to go if i had to and i told him next time , i would just to prove my sincerity in this...but anyway great day in gainesville and I am proud of all the great americans I met at the rally.. keep 'em on their toes, with more rallies...let em know we are not a one and done kinda group...

Jeff,
How about we push for a North Georgia gathering for the net protest. Maybe we can work with other locales and join together to make a much bigger turn-out. There is a critical mass where things take on a life of there own. That is the point to reach.

Co locating a rally is always a good thing. I will talk to you soon with some ideas.
I am impressed that you pulled such a turn out in Gainesville. It is a creadit to your efforts and the city. This energy must not be allowed to atrophy. It has to grow.
