Also, the "swine flu" hasn't been found in a single "swine" to date. They are now saying it's a mix of human and avian flu.

Reasons? Because the sheeple will think it's easier to contain if it comes from pigs instead of birds?
I don't know...just guessing around...

I do know that I'm going to take Springer's advice( i think it was) and get some masks today, just in case - because if it DOES come to needing that kind of protection, and there's a panic( who, us - the USA - panic?) then it'll be like the run on ammo, only worse.

I'm really hoping it's just alot of nonsense. People in the office here are in near-panic state because there's now been 1( ONE) death in the US. I feel like it's 2001 and west nile all over again. I hope I'm right.

I heard a statistic that there were 30,000 deaths a year from the run-of-the-mill flu virus in the US. If that's true, then this "outbreak" is really just a blip on the radar of the other flu's, and probably shouldn't be getting all of the media that it is.

Here's my tin-foil conspiracy--a flu crisis makes it that much easier to argue for national control of hospitals and medical facilities, and once that camel's nose is in the tent, we'll be making room for the whole camel really soon.

Ditto that, and there have actually been 7 reported deaths, not 125.

The thing is, if we launch a campaign to say that it's a government plot to gain more control over the sheep, and a dozen people die from it - the sheep will look at us and say ' baaaaaahhhhdd patriots."

Reminds me of a book everyone should read. " Animal Farm "

All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others...

This one is hard to get my mind around. I try to resist the conspiracy since they tend to cloud the reasoning once engaged.

I akways fail on the side of caution. It is true that the swine flu is mild but it started off mild in 1918 and appeared to fizzle. Then in the fall it blew up! If the flu appears to be all but irradicated next week, we are still not out of the woods. It isn't todays flu that we fear but the one that is mutated in the fall, or next year.

But is could be a cover-story for other things.
