Independence Day

As we celebrate the birth of our nation tomorrow, it pains me to watch what appears to be the beginnings of the death of our freedoms. Our founding fathers would not recognize the state of our nation and the lack of courage among our people. I urge you to spend a little time tomorrow, reading the history of the birth of our nation. The taxation and tyranny that caused our forefathers to revolt against Britain is commonplace in America today; it is high time that our states and our people reject the unconstitutional usurpation of power by the Washington socialist party.

For the past few nights I've been watching the HBO movie, John Adams, on DVDs that I bought my husband for Fathers' Day. Last night's episode was on the writing of the Declaration of Independence, and from just the partial reading contained in the movie, I was amazed at how the words apply to what we're facing today.

I urge everyone, on this Independence Day weekend, to take a few moments to read the entire document. If you have children who can understand, share your thoughts with them...we've got to start educating our children, because the public schools do not, and our kids have got to know what their ancestors bled and died for and what we are letting slip away.

This is a good weekend for soul searching about what we're willing to give to save this country.

Well, we're spending our Independence Day (weekend) down here in Panama City. All I have to say is that rednecks love this Country!

I'll also add that if you ever want to see a huge amount of fireworks, just come down here for the 4th. The amount of money these people must have spent is pretty crazy, but it was a good show. I bet they fired stuff off for over 3 hours. It was a constant display of beautiful lights all the way down the beach. They are back at it a little bit tonight too.

Good bless our Country! We're going to need it!

Our liberty, our rights and our freedom have been slowly dying for a long time. Now that the socialists (in both parties) have gained full control of our government, we can see a dramatic acceleration of the usurpation of our rights taking place. Lady Liberty is bleeding out before our eyes. I just hope that those with the ability will find the will to do what must be done when the time comes.
