| An amendment to the credit card bill just passed by the Senate would allow states to decide whether guns could be carried in national parks within the state. The amendment, if it survives the House/Senate conference, would reinstate the Bush executive order that was put on hold by an activist judge earlier this year.
The House version of the bill has no similar amendment, so the details will have to be worked out in conference, and the provision may be left out of the final bill. We'll be watching.

| I'd be for the original, but I'm more for stopping the 'comprehensive crap. Let's have one issue in each bill, a bill for each issue, and get it right.
I wanna see those buttholes work for a change.

| Catocom...I'm in total agreement. These hitchhiker bills are just stupid. If it has nothing to do with the main bill, then it does get included. I suppose this would lead to nothing getting done up there, but that might be a good thing | |

| I may be wrong, but I don't think a judge can slap this one down. The other ruling last year was not a law passed by congress, but just a change in the rules of the Dept of the interior, or whatever dept is over the national parks. Again I may be wrong on this, maybe a lawyer on here can clarify. Do we have any good lawyers on here Just kidding colelsaw!!!! | |

| Bert, in this new socialist era, anything can be slapped down. Google " activist judge overturns law" How dare you tell the government or their liberal friends they can't do something! | |
