Ghost of Thomas Paine summoned to White House by Socialist President

Heard yesterday that the guy making those great patriotic videos has been summoned to the White House to disucuss with Obama the " disturbing nature of those videos."


Nope, I am not making this up, and nope, you did not wake up and turn on your computer and find yourself in Communist China this morning.


It is an outrageous and frightening turn of events. I would like to make a video supporting this fellow in some way. I'd like to go up there with him. I'd really like for him to tell Dear Leader Messiah Obama that he does not answer to a tyrant.

The executive summons?

The perfect response would be another video decrying Obama's act of summoning him as despicable, etc...

More and more, Obama acts like a king (feel free to substitute dictator, despot, or overlord). Talk about attempting to chill political speech. I hope this guy doesn't back down. And let's go ahead and get the independent prosecutor started on the abuse of power.

I haven't had time to look today........but as of yesterday I could not find out anything about if he went, what was said, if he's been seen....etc.



If something happens to this patriot, there will be trouble, there's no doubt. I'll post up when i find info somewhere about what's going on with this now.

The man who created two phenomenally successful "We The People" YouTube videos urging Americans to stand up against Congress and reclaim their republic now – or perhaps lose it forever – reportedly has been summoned to the White House by President Obama to discuss the subject matter of the short films.

Bob Basso, who posts videos under the name funbobbasso on YouTube, has created videos in which he portrays Thomas Paine, author of the "Common Sense" pamphlet that made the case for independence during the American Revolution.

Basso, whose website offers his services as a motivational speaker, uses the YouTube presentations to condemn "non-representing representatives" and warns, "Only when they feel the almighty wrath of 'We The People' marching in the streets from California to New York shouting 'We're mad as hell and we want our country back' will they get the message they work for you."

I still cannot find any information on how the "visit" went. Perhaps they've decided to make him the new President of Ford or something.

I got chill bumps when I heard him say that. It sort of allowed my imagination and Pandora's box to merge for a few seconds...

On tonight's Glenn Beck show, he said Bob Basso would be there on Friday. Don't know if this invite to the WH is true, but we should learn on Friday.
FWIW, folks, things are getting scary. Every day, it seems, there's something new that's aimed at destroying America. I don't like it and the same feeling is echoing across the land. It's about to get nasty.

There's no doubt that complacency has played a huge role in our current situation. Maybe some of this is also to be blamed on people trusting that their elected officials would work for the people's interest and not for their own interest. As they say...power corrupts!

This is indeed troubling. The weight of the executive branch can be very heavy. With Cathyleen Willie, all they did was kill her cat. This guy is truyly a threat to Obama.Who knows what they have threathened him with if he doesn't toe the line.

Of course, we could replace him with another Paine. My handle on Free Republic has been Paine's Ghost since 1998. Nut then they will go after the media as in the Fairness Doctrine.

I don't know what went down with him at the White House but it didn't seem to stop him! THANK GOD!


Maybe we can get him to come down to Georgia sometime....he has helped to inspire a nation.
Ordinary people, doing extraordinary things.....this guy deserves some serious credit and has apparently no lack of courage!

Has anyone followed up on Bob Basso? Has he been silenced? He doesn't seem like the type to knuckle under. The real Thomas Paine went to jail several times. It would truly be sad and frieghtening if he has been quashed.

Oh no, he's still out there! He spoke at one of the Tea Parties, and there are one or two new videos out - milliam linked to one of them.

What I'd love to hear about is what was said in that meeting!
At any rate, the latest video I've watched( post meeting with The One) was as fiery as the rest of them! What courage this man has! HUZZAH to BOB BASSO!
