Folks, this sounds too good to be true, but a few things are adding up to give credibility to the idea...
First, I found the story( in a negative light, of course) on a couple of main stream media news sites. Then, I noticed that it doesn't ask for any information other than things you can get from the phone book. Also, many of the firearms forums have members saying that they are sure it's legit.
Seems that they want to be able to say they have 2/3 of the country behind them.
Now, that said...I am not a huge fan of the NRA. I think they give in too easily. My thinking is more in line with the Gun Owners of America group. However, most people( read politicans) know the NRA, and if it's free then all the better for everyone.
So, read this carefully: THIS MAY OR MAY NOT BE A SCAM. IF YOU JOIN UP, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
I feel there is enough evidence to support this being the real deal, and I've emailed them for confirmation as well. When I get a reply I'll let you know. Hopefully, this isn't some socialist scam to get the names and numbers of all the people out here that support the NRA and gun rights. But I figure, even if it is...so what?
It's nothing that I wouldn't tell a socialist to his face anyway.
