Sign ideas for the rally - post 'em here...

Post up any sign ideas you have. Just remember to keep them positive and let's not focus our attention too much of The One. There will be a time and rally for that sometime in the future I'm sure.
I will have signs with the url to the website and a few more maybe, depending on how many are coming.

I had an idea for one today...

Please list anything you think of...even if we can't use it or it's not as good as some others( providing you guys provide the "others", we might be able to think of something off of whatever your idea is....so even if you think it won't work, post it up. . . )

It occured to me today, once again...that if we must fight this fight with words and politics, then let us fight it with everything we have. Don't be afriad to hit them where it hurts, or cut too deeply. Be decent( everything should be kept kid-friendly), but be firm. There is no time for fence-sitting or pulling punches. There hardly ever is, in anything we face like this. We cannot be lightweights when it comes to telling it like it is.....because if we lose this political and ideological battle, we have only one last choice to make. Let us pray and work towards never having to make that choice. We must win NOW, and we must win peacefully and totally. As things get worse, we have no better chance at winning people over to our way of thinking than right now. I am trusting people that have gathered here to be decent, moral, civil people - but i am counting on you driving our point home. We want none of this "change". We want a return to the principles that made this nation great, and we want it now, before there is no nation to save. Dramatic? Perhaps. But these are ....well,...."the times that try mens souls."

Alright, then...let's be about it. Give me some slogans! HUZZAH!

to get the word out...My husband works at a local printing company. We can get some flyers printed up to get the word out for the Gainesville Tea Party and pass them out if someone will send me the info that should go on it: time date place purpose etc.... Hubby is willing to pay for the flyers himself since he can get them at a discount.

We're going to need to organize who is bringing what signs. I am going to make some, but I am going to need HELP. I def. want two signs with the website url on them( www.libertycalls.org or just libertycalls.org, whatever we can fit on there).

Also, I've contacted a company about supplying tea. Now, we can't hand them out before hand, but we can meet up somewhere off-site and pass them out to everyone. If we get those( for free) we will need two signs with something like " XXX Tea Company supports LIBERTY!

I know, a bit of a commerical touch, but I have it on good authority that they are doing this to support liberty and if people buy their tea as a result then that's ok too...either way, it would provide us with tea, so a couple of signs is the least we could do.

Ok, so who has ideas? C'moooooon. let's get this party started!

Just as a reminder, we want to keep things positive and I would rather not have negative signs that could be used against us in the media. Something like that is alright, but let's not go any further down the bash Obama road, ok guys? I don't like the things President Obama has done any more than you all do, but this party is about correcting all of governments wrong-doing, not just the current Presidents( already a long list, as far as that goes. )


So, just so we're clear - we'd rather not see any signs like " Obama STINKS" or " Obama is a socialist" or " Obama is the anti-Christ" etc. etc. etc.

We'll have another rally for that later. LOL

Ya, I was wondering myself about it... It is very hard to find something positive with what is being done to this country. Sometimes I think people need to be shocked out of their complacency.

Sam, the more news I am hearing every day, the more I am beginning to think the same thing. I don't want a "bash the President" rally, but it's becoming ever more difficult not to be absolutely blunt about the situation we are in.

Taxes stink. That's for sure, but we do need some of them for defense, etc.
How about " Say NO to MORE TAXES" or something like that?

I thought of another one last night, since we are in the chicken capital. . .

I have to tell you a story behind the change thing. I have first hand knowledge of just how clueless most liberals are....


A truck in a parade last Independence Day had Obama supporters in it. As they yelled "vote for Change!- vote for Change!" I couldn't help myself and I yelled back " What kind of CHANGE?"


Dead silence.


Until one of them put on his thinking cap and replied........" BETTER CHANGE!"


They were so proud of themselves for coming up with that one. I just threw my hands up in the air and walked off.
