We finally found another jurisdiction with a public gathering law!!! Georgia can be proud of this 1870 law now that it knows it has company! Maybe the opponents of HB 615 can point proudly to this other jurisdiction as a shining example of why Georgia needs to keep its public gathering law.

Constitutional question--how can you have a "well-regulated militia" if you prohibit public gatherings while armed? I would love to have the time and ability to bring a well-funded constitutional challenge to the law.

I think this next year, you'll see the law that prohibits carry at PG's repealed. Hopefully. At least, that's the word on the street...but who knows what will happen between now and then.
